What happens if I have an emergency?

The Smart Care Personal Help System is your lifeline in the case of an emergency.

To activate the two-way communication, simply press the large red SOS button on the front of the device for two seconds. When the emergency operator answers, you can speak directly to them in your normal voice to explain the nature of the emergency so they can dispatch help to you.

The two-way system allows the operator to listen for signs of distress so they can dispatch help even if the person is unable to speak.

If you accidentally activate the system, you can inform the operator it was an accident and do not need help.

How is the Smart Care Personal Help System monitored for emergencies?

The Personal Help System is monitored 24/7 by the professionals at ADP Security. With over 25 years of best-in-class security experience, ADP emergency operators are on call at all times to help you in the case of an emergency.

Can I wear the Smart Care Personal Help Button in the shower?

Yes, absolutely. The Personal Help Button is water resistant and can be worn in the shower. We do not recommend wearing it for longer sessions like swimming, or submerging in a bathtub or sink, however.

Where will the Smart Care Personal Help System work?

Since the Personal Help System has cellular capability, the device works anywhere in America where there is cellular service.

Is the ADP Smart Care System eligible for Medicaid coverage?

Yes! ADP Security is an approved provider for the Medicaid waiver program in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Please refer the Medicaid representative to “ADP Security” when contacting them for waiver information.

How does the location tracking work?

The device is equipped with state-of-the-art GPS and can be tracked to within 9 feet of the location by the ADP operator. This is for the GPS Option and not the In Home Option.

Is the Smart Care Personal Help System only for medical emergencies?

No, this is your 24/7 lifeline in the case of a personal emergency. This includes fire, police emergency, burglary, and medical emergencies.

How much is the monthly monitoring service?

The ADP Smart Care Personal Help System has two options to choose from:

– Option 1 @ $119.97: This includes 3 months of initial monitoring service. After the initial 3 months, 24/7 monitoring is available at $39.99 billed quarterly ($119.97) with no long-term contract required for the lease of this equipment. This is for the In Home Cellular Medical Alert System.

– Option 2 @ $119.97: Our best value, this includes 3 months of 24/7 monitoring service. After the intial 3 months, the monitoring service is only $39.99 monthly billed quarterly ($119.97) with no long-term contract required for the lease of this equipment. This is for the GPS Go Anywhere Smart Watch Medical Alert.

Are the devices available in other languages?

Yes, both the ADP 200i and the Prime Aire are available in Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish & Russian. Other languages may also be available, please contact us to check for your specific language request.

What If I Lose or Break My Equipment

There is a $99.00 replacement fee for the GPS watch and $199.00 replacement fee for in home Prime Aire device.

What happens when the medical alert is no longer needed and I want to cancel service?

You must give 30 days written notice to cancel service. The monthly fee paid is for the 24/7 monitoring of the equipment for your emergencies. You can cancel at any time after the first 90 days and we will send a prepaid envelope to you at no cost and you put your alert in the US Mail. We will stop the billing of your card or ACH at that time when we receive the unit back. The service is billed quarterly. We stop the billing upon the receipt of the equipment.
